Medical Module and Tool Development

Situation: Our client had developed a polymer-injection system to secure small anchors in human bone to aid healing. The polymer is injected through the anchors, strengthening the bond to the bone during the healing process. This polymer must be carefully heated and precisely injected. The client asked Venture Technologies to design and develop the heater and injector for this application.

Solution: We provided expertise with electronics hardware, embedded software, industrial design, and mechanical design. We put together a project team that excels particularly in industrial design of medical products, temperature sensing and control, material selection, and the hermetic isolation of electronic circuits. These skills complemented our client's internal engineering team's expertise. We developed a product-design concept that met all of the client's requirements and provided an industrial design consistent with their existing line of medical products.

Result: Venture Technologies quickly integrated our experts' skill sets with those of our client's internal engineering team. We devised several easy-to-implement mechanical structures that shortened the development cycle while satisfying this client's requirements.
